The Priory Approach

We partnered with the contractor and design team to engineer a modern and efficient HVAC system that met the needs of the client whilst dealing with the constraints of the building.

Due to the nature of the building, the design incorporated bespoke branch control (BC) box controllers and vertically converted ducted units.

We installed a ground source application to support the heating and cooling infrastructure. This was generated by the selection of the water-cooled condensing units and BC boxes. Thanks to the way the BC boxes come with port isolation as standard, we could support the client with a phased installation. This also ensures easier system servicing and maintenance in the future; engineers can use the valves on the system to shut off specific areas so that they can be worked on individually.

The underfloor heating involved installing a water to water CHRV heat-pump. The CHRV heat pump can provide water temperatures of up to 65°C without back up electric heaters and can function in ground or water temperatures as low as -5°C.

A bespoke range of horizontal ducted fan coil units modified to a vertical orientation provided the client with lower noise levels in priority areas of the property such as bedrooms, helping ensure the new services reinforced with the high-specification finish of this property.

“EES have used Priory Mechanical Services on several high end residential fitout projects and their experience in this sector is evident through their performance and attention to detail. EES appointed PMS as the mechanical contractor on a design and build project in North London with a mechanical value of £3M+. The project was design and build and featured complex mechanical systems for heating and cooling the house and swimming pool, consisting of ground source/air source heat pumps and CHP plant. The mechanical systems were required to integrate seamlessly with the interior design and via their in house functions and the support of their supply chain, Priory were able to do this whilst delivering the project on time and to the satisfaction of EES and more importantly the client. We regard PMS as a key part of our supply chain and look forward to our future collaborations.”
